Mechanicsburg Roof Cleaning

Has the Monster taken over your roof?? The Ugly Black Streak Monster is taking over many roofs in Pennsylvania, and it is growing at alarming speed!! Gloeocapsa Magma on your roof is a algae that is feeding on the limestone that is in your shingles, slowly causing it to break down the structure of the shingle. These algaes will contiune to eat away at the shingles until action is taken to stop it or until it is time to replace the shingles, which will be sooner than it really should be because of the neglect to take care of it in it early stages. Streakfreeroof.com can treat the roof to kill the algae and leave your roof looking like it was when it was new!! Others in the Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill areas have been taking care of this problem, why don't you?? Call today. 717-532-2692

Pressure Washing in Pennsylvania

Where is this summer going??? It is the middle of August already!! Well we have been having a very good year with power washing houses. It seems that the last 2 years it has been damp in the spring and has cause a increase in mold and algea growth in central PA. Some of the homes we have cleaned in the Carlisle, Mechancisburg, Camp Hill and Harrisburg areas have Conodoguinet Creek that runs real close to there houses and makes their places look so beautiful, but it comes with a problem. Being that close to a body of water it increases the the dampness of it's surroundings which in turn becomes a great place for mold and algea to grow. Mold can start making a place look bad by causing the siding, soffits and gutters to turn green. Not to mention how it can affect the looks and become slippery on walking surfaces such as decks, patios, concrete sidewalks and driveways. But that doesn't have to be a major problem for you!! FullBlast Pressure Washing does exterior cleaning to all these surfaces including Safe No-pressure cleaning of shingle roofs to remove those ugly black streaks!!

Spring time house washing with FullBlast.

Hello and welcome to the blog of FullBlast Pressure Washing!! I the last couple of weeks have been going crazy here at FullBlast, us being a small family owned and operated business with 3 rigs doing power washing, it has been tough to keep the balance between work and family.

But thats not all wrong I really enjoy working hard and get bored when there is nothing to do, (which rarely happens) and we did have kinda a slow winter that allowed us to do some travaling with the family. We made a trip to Texas for a pressure washing convention and then we made trips to Kentucky and also to New York that will be remembered.

Last year kinda seemed to be a slow year for us in the residential house washing side of things, but now it seems that this year people are making up for lost time!! We have doing lots of siding washing, concrete cleaning, deck and patio washing, and an increasing amount of no-pressure roof cleaning in the Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, Harrisburg Areas.

I often get asked what our appraoch to washing a house is, so I thought maybe I would write about that a little. When wash a house the first thing we do is make sure all the windows and doors are closed and that the screens are properly in place and latched, then we start by rinsing the shrubery and flowers on the side that we are working on, just to keep the soap and cleaners off of the leaves that could possibly cause damage to them, they we use a commercial grade cleaner, with mold inhibitors in to kill the mold that may be present. We spray this on the vinyl siding, the trim and also the gutters and let it dwell on the surfaces while we rerinse the flowers and shrubs, just to keep them free from the cleaners. Then when we have let it dwell for a few minutes and it appears to have killed the mold we are able to wash it off using a low pressure wash.

This is a lot better way then some ways I have seen, using a cheap soap or no soap and blasting away at the siding appearing to remove the mold but actually just taking the top off making it look good but not killing the mold that will rapidly return!! Also we are able to use the lower pressure which in turn lowers the risk of causing any damage to the house.
FullBlast Pressure Washing serves Central Pennsylvania, including Franklin, Cumberland, and Daulphin counties.

We will talk about roof cleaning in a later blog but until then you can find out about Streak Free Roof here.
