MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - A fatal crash has closed six miles of the Pennsylvania Turnpike's eastbound lanes between the Harrisburg West Shore and Gettysburg Pike interchanges.

The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday near mile marker 338.

A Turnpike spokeswoman said the crash involves three tractor trailers and one driver was killed.

The eastbound lanes are closed at the Gettysburg Pike Interchange at mile post 236.

An eastbound detour follows Route 15 north, Route 581 east and Interstate 83 south to the Harrisburg West Interchange at mile post 242.

Officials said the lanes will likely remain closed until 10 a.m.

The westbound lanes were closed overnight, but have since reopened.

Be careful out there my friends.
